Personal injury lawyers serving Canton
Canton is the Cherokee County seat, and it is the only courthouse in our area where both courts a personal injury case can be filed in are in the same building. The Cherokee County Justice Center on North Street houses Superior and State Court together, which is a genuine convenience and an unusual one — in Cobb the two are a walk apart, and in Fulton they are not in the same city as most of the county's population.
There is a naming trap here worth stating plainly, because getting it wrong is the sort of error a defense lawyer enjoys. Cherokee County is in the BLUE RIDGE Judicial Circuit. There is a separately named Cherokee Judicial Circuit, and it does not cover Cherokee County — it covers Bartow and Gordon. Blue Ridge is also the only circuit of the five we practice in whose Superior Court workload value is below parity, reported at 0.96 across four authorized judgeships. That is an Administrative Office of the Courts strain measure covering Superior Court only, and it is not a statement about how fast any case moves; Georgia does not collect that data at all.
The city predates the county's road network by a century and a half. It incorporated in 1833 under the name Etowah and was renamed Canton at the end of 1834, and the Etowah River still runs east to west straight through the middle of it. Modern access is I-575 — the exit 16 complex, exit 19 at GA-20 East for downtown, and exit 20 at Riverstone. It is 22.6 miles and about half an hour from the office, almost all of it on the interstate.

Superior Court workload value
0.96
A three-year average from the Administrative Office of the Courts: implied judicial need divided by authorized judgeships, where above 1.00 means need exceeds the judgeships available. It covers Superior Court only. It is not a measure of how long a case takes — Georgia does not collect case-processing times, and the AOC disclaims that inference itself.
