Co-counsel and referral arrangements for Georgia lawyers.
We take referrals from Georgia lawyers who do not handle injury litigation, and from lawyers who handle it but have a conflict, a capacity problem, or a case that needs a different posture. The arrangement is documented in writing, the client consents in writing, and you stay informed for the life of the file. Fee division follows Rule 1.5. We do not solicit your clients for anything else.
Fee division
We do not quote a division in advance. Rule 1.5 makes any division dependent on written client consent and on how the work and the responsibility are actually shared, and both of those are questions about your case rather than about our policy. We agree it in writing before a file opens.
